Apple Launches New Cloud Storage Service for Student Pilots’ Flight School Photos
Ever the innovator, Tim Cook unveiled a new service targeted at military flight school students - a $15/month premium service that offers 69 terabytes of storage. Apple also partnered with Hinge to create a feature that will use AI to populate new photos that contain either aircraft or flight suits to the pilot’s dating profile.
This feature has saved an estimated 69,420 hours on dates in the first few days alone, since pilots don’t have to pull out (not that they know how) their phones to scroll through the same generic pictures of them smiling in front of trainer aircraft with Zyn tins bulging from their pockets. Yes, you like nicotine, we get it.
Apple also now offers a service to all SWOs to automatically send all photos that have ships or coveralls to the hidden folder so they don’t accidentally blow their cover when they lie to women about their job (I’m a marine biologist).
